Sandra Boynton is a beloved American cartoonist, children’s author, songwriter, and highly sporadic short film director.

She is learning what the animals say and imitating some of them too! We got this book only a week ago and it already became one of my daughter's favorites! you say, 'that isn't right.

I pretty much love anything by Sandra Boynton. I want to put one away for my daughter to have for her kids some day and "grandma and grandpa" will need one too! And strangely cool in the way of coloring. It is cute and easy to read. A lot of books go a little too far from the animal they are trying to draw and I worry my child might not make the association.

The illustrations are very clever and those pigs singing LA LA LA!

Sandra Boynton is one of our favorite authors for bedtime - the books are a manageable length with cute images and catchy written words. We received it as a baby shower gift. A terrific engaging book for any child, young or old! We then introduced it to our 2nd daughter when she was 20 months old, and she also adores this book and it is the one she always gets every night and says "book" to have it read.

It quickly became the favorite and the "Moo book" is read every night.

The singing pigs, by the way, are anything but subtle. The star rating reflects overall quality.

But, this book really, REALLY teaches kids the sounds animals make. Yet Sandra Boynton's unique style breathes invigorating life into a well-worked format. Even though she's mastered animal noises and names she still picks this book up from time to time. A trio of warbling pigs add a dash of surprise and a comic touch that will keep little ones laughing.

As soon as those 3 words come out of my mouth he quiets. Well received as a baby shower ("Stock the Bookshelf") gift with another Sandra Boynton book (But Not the Hippopotamus). It is a very funny book to a small child and in turn becomes a funny book for the parent watching them get so much pleasure out of it.

My son could "read" every word before he was one! Common Sense Media's unbiased ratings are created by expert reviewers and aren't influenced by the product's creators or by any of our funders, affiliates, or partners. This truly is a book that every baby/young toddler should have.

Nothing yet! This is really more appropriate for kids even younger than two.

all day and night!

(Book #1).

When I bought it for him, I thought it would just be another fun one to read.

The book is falling apart - due to an unexpected trip into the bathtub one night :) - and we try not to use it too much so we just recite it from memory. Just a few set-up lines and Boynton is ready for the book's main joke:

So many books are bright and in your face, this book was not like that. This is the 4th time purchasing this book. My Tripp and Luke have begun to develop a sense of humor--realizing that "three singing pigs" could simply not say la la la! This book was perfect for teaching her what different animals say.

I often use as a gift for new parents. Wonderful simple read that helps teach young kids about animals and their noises./. It would also make a great baby shower gift or first birthday present.

I give it to all my friends who have babies! Pigs say Oink! When we received the book, I thought it was too simple and that she would get bored.

We started to read this book a month before a visit to a farm animal sanctuary, and he was mooing, baaing, and oinking at all the animals. Three singing pigs say La La La produced a lot of laughs and giggling with my granddaughter.

Great rhyming (never forced). > Basic Concepts. Yet Sandra Boynton's unique style breathes invigorating life into a well-worked format. is OK for your kids?

If she was upset in the car we would start "reading" without the book. The pigs say OINK all day and night.'" I got two of these as a gift for our friends babies. My 15-month old daughter knows all her animal sounds, thanks to this book. I love kids books that rhyme, they are so nice to read! I originally checked it out of the library for my older daughter when she was a baby, but wound up buying it because she liked it so much.

As always her books are short and sweet.

We have read this book HUNDREDS of times. This book was quite the favorite, and before she was a year old, she was making the appropriate sounds, shaking her head, "No, no..." at the, "Three singing pigs go la-la-la," and whispering at the last page, "It's quiet now, what do *you* say?". Oh my, the cow and sheep seem to have it right...but what about the pigs? Even at that age, he responded with coos and much arm waving when we brought out this book.

Artist Sandra Boynton is back and better than ever with completely redrawn versions of her multi-million selling board books.

At the end of the book, I would point at the different animals and ask her the name of the animal or the animal sound.

), We bought this book because our daughter loved "Red Hat Blue Hat" which is also written by Sandra Boynton. The comic strip-style drawings of the animals feature clean lines, offering enough detail to round out the text without cluttering the page. My wife and I consider Moo, Baa, La La La to be our daughter Charlotte's first favourite book. And don't forget "But Not the Hippopotomus" or "the Going to Bed Book!" Exuberant verses will have youngsters oinking, mooing, and baaing before you know it. As sort of joke I immediately began reading this and other books to him thinking he was too young to respond. Wonderful book.

It was published by Little Simon and has a …

By My 7 month old also seems to enjoy it as well. We eventually acquired another copy, and both are well-worn. I'll bet you anything you sneak one more look long after night-night.

We read it so many times that I knew it by heart. Buy it -- you won't regret it!

Ok but really...how would we choose the best Boynton books? By chance, while on a trip to NY when my son was only 5 months old, I purchased this book.

Practice your dramatic abilities and really ham it up (pun intended) when you read the singing pigs and "that isn't right" lines on pages 3 and 4. Really nice book that incorporates "This animal goes XXX, And this one goes XXX" - With simple, fun pictures, and a little fun to keep my baby interested
